Melanie Jade Boulerice is a dedicated registered nurse with over a decade of experience in emergency care, psychiatry, and health care innovation. After graduating from John Abbott College in 2013 and earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Francis Xavier University in 2019, Melanie identified critical gaps in nursing and patient resources, driving her passion for entrepreneurship. She launched a program to help nursing students succeed on Quebec licensing exams and founded the Nomadic Nurse Agency, a mobile nursing company and placement agency that expanded health care accessibility, including pioneering at-home COVID testing during the pandemic. Her impactful work has been recognized by major media outlets like CTV and CBC, international podcasts, and multiple awards for entrepreneurship and community service. Not too long after, Melanie received a promotion as Nurse Resource Manager at the McGill University Health Centre and began teaching as a Clinical Instructor at McGill University for the Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing program. Melanie continues work in the emergency room as a travel nurse across Canada, and to mentor the next generation of nurses while advocating for better health care accessibility and quality. Her journey reflects her unwavering commitment to transforming challenges into opportunities and making a meaningful difference in health care.
